How an Ergonomic Office Equipment Standard Saves Time and Money
An ergonomic product catalog gives your company one approved place to quote and order equipment. Your team picks from products already vetted, sized and priced, so no request starts from scratch.
Why our catalogs work:
- Right size, first time. Every item is checked for fit before it goes in your catalog.
- Best product for the job. We choose from dozens of manufacturers.
- Proven nationwide. 25 years building catalogs for universities, government agencies, biotech and industrial teams.
Who Uses the Catalog
- HR teams
- EHS and safety teams
- Internal ergonomists
- Outside ergonomists
- Facilities
- Procurement
- Department managers
Faster Time to Relief
Employees get equipment in weeks, not the months many companies wait.
The Right Product, Every Time
Correctly sized products the first time, so no one buys the same employee a chair twice.
Curated Best-in-Class Products
Every item is vetted and comes with use notes, like sizing guidance for a petite employee at a sit-stand desk.
Stocking Programs
We stock long-lead items near your sites, so employees get help in about a week.
What Goes in Your Ergonomic Product Catalog
A catalog covers everything an employee is likely to need after an assessment, not just chairs.
Ergonomic Chairs

For Companies With Labs

Electric height-adjustable desks and desktop converters, sized to the employee.

Need something outside your standard list? Special items go through the same approval and ordering path.
Two Ways to Build Your Catalog
Every organization buys differently. Pick the model that fits how your team works, and change it as your standards change.
Full Service Catalog
We preload best-in-class ergonomic products at negotiated pricing. The fastest way to launch a program.
Custom Catalog
We load only the products your company has pre-approved, so nothing outside your standard can be ordered. We add and retire items as your standards change, and can match products on your existing contracts.
How Ordering Works
Every order starts with an assessment, by your ergonomist, an outside ergonomist or ours, virtually or on-site. Whoever does it orders from your customized catalog, so every order matches your standard.
Your team logs in to a private Pacific Ergonomics client portal, built just for your company. It works on a phone, iPad or computer.
Request the Quote
The ergonomist picks the exact product from your catalog, right from the assessment, and a quote is ready in minutes.
Approval
Requests go to one central approver or straight to the employee’s manager by email. Either way, approval takes minutes.

We Procure and Install
We procure every order and provide turnkey installation for corporate offices and for home offices under your corporate program, or ship direct for your facilities team.
Track and Report
See every estimate, sales order and invoice, when products ship, and which recommendations still need approval.
Step 02: Two Ways to Approve
Step 04: Track Every Order
- Every transaction: estimates, sales orders and invoices
- When products ship, so you can tell employees when to expect them
- Which employees have recommended products waiting for approval
What Your Company Gets
Save Time
Quotes in minutes instead of days. A chair request drops from about 15 staff hours across six people to 1.5 hours across two.
Order the Right Product
Only approved, correctly specified items appear in the catalog, so rebuys drop to near zero.
Manage Risk and Budget
One standard set of solutions across every location, at negotiated pricing you can forecast.
Full Visibility
Every recommendation, quote, approval and installation in one dashboard.
P-Card or PO Purchasing
Managers approve and order on a P-card or PO, without routing everything through HR, EHS or procurement.
Reporting You Can Use
Spending by department and location, so leadership can justify budget and see where requests cluster.
Add Ergonomic Assessments When Your Team Needs Them
No ergonomist on staff? Ours handle every assessment. Already have one? We step in when:
- Requests pile up
- Employees are in other states
- Employees work from home
Every assessment feeds straight into your catalog, so recommendations match your standards.
Virtual Assessments
Fast, one-on-one assessments for employees anywhere in the US.
Home Office Assessments
One of our most common requests, for remote and hybrid employees.
On-Site Assessments
For accommodations, unique cases or many employees in one location.
Return to Work Assessments
Setups built around work restrictions after an injury.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is ergonomic office equipment?
True ergonomic office equipment is designed so employees can work in neutral postures, with the right size and the right fit for each person. It includes ergonomic chairs, sit-stand desks, keyboard trays, monitor arms and other ergonomic workstation equipment.
Many products are labeled ergonomic, so the label alone doesn’t tell you much. There are best-in-class solutions out there, but how they’re applied matters most: the right product, sized and set up for the employee using it.
What types of office equipment can be ergonomic?
Almost everything at a desk: chairs, desks, keyboard trays, monitor arms, keyboards and mice, footrests, document holders, task lighting and laptop stands. For labs, it also includes lab chairs and stools, cleanroom and ESD seating, and height-adjustable lab tables.
How does ergonomic equipment improve productivity?
No one can do their best work while they’re uncomfortable. Discomfort turns into pain, and pain can turn into injury. By then, it’s on an employee’s mind more than the work is.
Comfortable employees, without a sore back, aching arms or headaches, are much more productive. It comes with the territory. Equipment that fits keeps them comfortable and cuts the time lost to doctor visits and injury claims.
Who is the ergonomic product catalog built for?
Companies that want one standard set of ergonomic solutions, within a set budget, for every request that comes up:
- Accommodations
- Equipment requests
- New hires
- Employees who raise their hand because they’re uncomfortable
The catalog becomes the standard your employees use. Decisions don’t have to be made over and over for each employee, so your team can move on and focus on what it does best. It’s built for an ongoing company program, not one-time single-chair purchases.
How fast can we get a quote?
Within seconds. An ergonomist or HR team member enters the employee’s name and email, picks the products they need and gets an instant quote. Send it wherever it needs to go:
- A supervisor
- Procurement
- Yourself, the employee or both
Or order right away. Pacific Ergonomics receives notice that you want to order and places it. You see when it’s ordered, plus all tracking, in one place.
What does the catalog cost?
There’s a one-time setup fee for the portal, based on how your team will use it and the scope of your program. There’s no monthly cost to use it. Products are quoted separately and ordered through Pacific Ergonomics.
How long does it take to set up our catalog?
Once your budget and product choices are final, we build your catalog quickly. Most of the time goes into your team’s decisions, like trying products and finalizing budgets, and we help you through that part too.
What devices does the portal work on?
A phone, iPad or computer. Ergonomists can select products and send a request right from the assessment.
Does the catalog work with P-cards and purchase orders?
Both. Managers can approve and pay by P-card for smaller orders, or orders can route to a central PO. Many clients use both, depending on the dollar amount.
Can we limit the catalog to products we’ve already approved?
Yes. A custom catalog holds only the items on your approved standard, so no one can order outside it.
Can we add or remove products later?
Yes. Your catalog changes as your needs do. When a strong new ergonomic solution comes out, our team lets you know, and we can add it at no cost. Products can be removed anytime too.
Does the portal work for multiple locations?
Yes. Every location is loaded ahead of time, and supervisor information travels with each request, so managers don’t re-enter approval details for every order.
How long does it take an employee to get a chair?
About a week when we stock your approved products, and three weeks at the outside when we don’t. At organizations with no program, we’ve seen employees wait three months to a year, because every request starts from zero.
Do you install the equipment?
Yes. We configure everything against your ergonomic goals, then procure it and provide turnkey installation, both at your corporate offices and at employees’ home offices under your corporate program. If you prefer, we ship direct for your facilities team to set up.
Can you handle assessments for our remote employees?
Yes. Companies often have us handle home office assessments for employees across the US. Recommendations come from your catalog, so equipment matches your standards.
Can an outside ergonomist use our catalog?
Yes. Any ergonomist you work with, like a consultant you hire or one provided by your insurance carrier, can get access to your customized catalog. They recommend from your approved products, so orders still match your standard and go through the same approval and ordering path.
Is an ergonomic assessment required to use the catalog?
No, though the two work best together. Our ergonomic assessment services are a separate professional service, and when assessments feed the catalog, orders follow a documented recommendation instead of a guess.
